Ontelier is a browser-native workshop for building and questioning ontologies. Draw classes and relationships, inspect the exact RDF behind them, and run OWL reasoning on your own device.

Why I made it
Ontologies can feel distant when their meaning is buried in syntax or hidden behind a large tool. I wanted a workspace where you could see a model, change it, and immediately ask what its statements imply. The visual graph makes the first step easier; the underlying Turtle keeps every claim precise.
Draw a model with meaning
Create classes, properties, and individuals. Add relationships and class expressions through focused controls. The graph distinguishes what you asserted from what the reasoner inferred, while the inspector shows the exact axioms for a selected entity.
Ask what follows
Konclude runs as WebAssembly in the browser to check consistency, classify classes and properties, and infer individual types. You can inspect inferred results and ask for a justification. SHACL Core checks explicit data separately from OWL reasoning.
Keep the source in reach
Edit Turtle directly, query with SPARQL, merge local Turtle files, and export the asserted model. Projects are saved in this browser. No account or server upload is needed to work.

Built for exploration
The canvas shows a bounded view of large graphs, and advanced nested expressions are edited in Turtle. Remote imports are not fetched; add their files locally. Ontelier keeps the authored model portable through Turtle export.
Local by nature
All model data and reasoning stay in the browser. Ontelier works without an account and saves projects on this device; export Turtle whenever you want a portable copy.
